Of course, I can’t pass up the chance to have my kids match with my costumes. I made a Noi outfit for my youngest daughter!
I did simplify the design quite a bit because I wanted to make sure it was comfortable for my little one. (And also because she’s going to wear it once for this Halloween and then never again.)
I started by choosing comfortable fabrics that had a bit of a stretch. Everything except for the belt is made from jersey fabric. The belt is made with non-stretch cotton.
The outfit is made up of four separate parts: a long sleeve onesie, a pair of pants, a onesie with no sleeves, and a belt that attaches with velcro.
For the onesies, I used a free pattern from Spoonflower. I altered it a bit for the top layer onesie to make the leg opening larger and to remove the sleeves. For the pants, I used one of my daughter’s pants to trace a pattern.
To get the belt to have that scrunched up look, I actually stitched the folds into the belt.
Pretty simple overall! My daughter is ready to be my little con-artist baby!
